Game Jam Devlog
On the Monday we came up with a way of trying to incorporate the three random themes. Which were: D-Side band, a town called: Pallissery and a child rights activist: David L Levy. After concluding that it was difficult to incorporate all three themes, we decided that we’d use the D-Side band as the main theme. The game consists of your band driving around the city, gaining reputation, recording music, buying new equipment and ultimately playing in the stadium!
The programming side of things was completed by Ben Freeman, who is a proficient Unity programmer. The 3d modelling, texturing and 2D art was completed by Daniel Blatch and Scott Lucas. All modelling was conducted in 3D Studio Max. Texturing was conducted in Substance Painter & all 2D art was created in Adobe Photoshop CC.
Throughout the week, we’ve had a lot of luck as there hasn’t been many issues regarding game breaking bugs. If we could improve, then the UV maps would be the first thing, they are quite messy. If they were cleaner, then texture quality could be improved.
